Source: thestars.com.my, Thursday May 31, 2012 New service allows customers to watch Astro on the go KUALA LUMPUR: Television addicts need no longer be couch potatoes with Astro On-The-Go, a new service that allows them to watch their favourite programmes using laptops and Android or iOS tablets and smartphones.

The new service allows customers to enjoy immediate access to Astro TV channels, live events, video-on-demand (VOD) and Catch Up TV. The first phase of Astro On-The-Go will allow all Astro customers to experience the free preview until Aug 31. This includes 11 TV channels (including CNN, Disney Channel, Astro Awani and Astro Xiao Tai Yang), VOD titles and live events. They will also be able to catch all 31 UEFA Euro 2012 matches live from June 8 to July 1. Phase Two begins on Sept 1, with only Astro B.yond IPTV customers or those with more than one decoder entitled to the service. It will be extended to Android devices during this phase as well. Phase Three offers Astro On-The-Go to all customers by year-end and subsequently to non-Astro customers in 2013. For more information visit www.astro.com.my/onthego.
